DIY coaster made of hama beads

A couple of days ago I made a square picture (if you can call it like that haha) out of hama beads just out of boredom. When I was finished I didn't really know what to do with it until I came into the kitchen and saw that my mum put her glass on it.
I was like "Hey that's cool!"

So I made another one today :)
What do you think? Is this totally lame and childish or cute?
