DIY heart-shaped ring

check out the video to see what I did!

what you need:
  • 1mm thick wire (you can usually get this in silver, gold and bronze)
  • a round-nosed pliers
  • in case your round-nosed pliers doesn't already have that, a side cutter to cut the wire
  • a nail file
  • something to measure how much wire you approximately need (I used a ring, but you can also use measuring tape or whatever you like)

what you do:
  • measure how much wire you need
  • cut your wire to the required lengths
  • use the round-nosed pliers to form a small eyelet and a bigger loop for your finger
  • put the wire through the eyelet and start forming the heart shape
  • finish off by forming another eyelet around the wire and then pressing the heart down into a right angle (you may wanna check the video to see more clearly how this works)
  • if needed, trim off the rest of the wire
  • file around the ends to get smoother edges so you won't poke yourself wearing the ring :)
  • all done!
