what you need:
- clear nail polish in case you want to apply a base and top coat
- two nail polish colors of your choice; I went with black and a turquoisey silver color because I think this gives an edgy feel to the look and enhances the contrast
- some tape
what you do:
- apply the first color you chose (in my case silver)
- let it dry REALLY well, otherwise it's gonna come off with the tape later
- apply the tape, about half a centimeter into the nail
- paint over it; coat your nails as many times as you need to cover the first nail polish
- remove the tape and voilà!
