herring fillet and potatoes in their skins

what you need (for 4 people):
  • 12 mid-sized to big potatoes
  • 160 herring fillet
  • about 400g plain yogurt
  • 1 apple
  • 1/2 onion
  • 3 tsp dill, pepper, paprika powder
  • 4 pickles

what you do:
  • put potatoes into pot, cover with water and let that boil
  • in the meantime, put herring fillets in a bowl and add yogurt
  • chop apple and onion and add
  • finely slice or grate pickles
  • season with pepper and dill
  • when potatoes are done, peel them (optional) and serve with herring fillet and yogurt dip
  • decorate plate with paprika powder
