- 4 chicories
- 4 slices of cooked ham
- 3-4 potatoes
- oil
- 1/8l cream, 1/8l milk
- pepper, salt
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp flour
- some sort of cheese: you could use mozzarella, parmesan or any grated cheese
what you do:
- peel and chop potatoes into equally sized pieces
- peel off the outer leaves of the chicory (if necessary) and remove the ends of it in a wedged shape, if that makes any sense...meaning remove all of the stem
- cook them in salty water for about 10 minutes or less; do the same to the potatoes until they are done
- in the meantime, pour some oil into a pot, add flour and stir really well
- add milk, cream, pepper, salt and lemon juice and stir that again
- tip: if you like, add some nutmeg
- wrap up the chicory in the ham slices, place them in a baking dish and cover with sauce and cheese
- bake at about 180-200°C until the cheese is melted and looks nice and golden-ish
- drain potatoes and serve with chicory
