- base and top coat
- a light purple nailpolish
- a darker purple one
- a black one
- tape
what you do:
- apply base coat
- cut tape into stripes and press them on your nails, about half a centimeter away from your cuticle
- apply light purple nail polish; let it dry
- reposition tape on your nails, about 2mm down from where you first placed it
- apply black nail polish; let it dry
- remove tape and apply dark purple nail polish to the tips of your nails; let it dry
- seal in with a clear top coat
- tip: if you're afraid to mess up the nail polish you already applied you can also use another stripe of tape; put it on your skin first, remove it and then place it on the part of your nail where you already applied polish; this way you don't mess anything up plus the tape is not too sticky to take off nail polish with it
- you can also use for exmaple complementary colors to create a bigger contrast!
