tomato-fennel-sauce

what you need (for 2 servings):
  • 4 tomatoes
  • 1 fennel
  • oil
  • 1 shallot
  • basil, pepper, sugar, salt
  • a little cream (optional)

what you do:
  • chop shallot and tomatoes finely
  • fry shallot in a little oil and add tomatoes
  • add pepper, basil, salt, sugar and cream and let that simmer
  • chop fennel in the meantime and add to the sauce
  • let that simmer until fennel is done
  • serve with whatever pasta you like
